Hello everyone! Thank you so much for choosing to come alongside me on this journey. Over these past few months of preparing, it was incredibly encouraging to watch how God provided abundantly. His continual guidance solidifies that I am making the right decision in leaving behind familiarity and stepping out of the country to spread the light of the Gospel. My trip begins at the end of this week when I arrive in Gainesville, GA for training camp. I can’t wait to meet my team and start this new adventure.

I am beginning this journey with the goal/mindset that I don’t want a surface-level relationship with Jesus. I want to dive deep and create a strong and lasting connection while learning how to display to nonbelievers that they can do the same. My favorite song at the moment is “Monday Moring Faith” by SEU Worship. There’s a line in the bridge that was stuck in my head causing me to hum it for a week. At some point, I took a moment to reflect on the words I was singing and the eye-opening meaning behind them. The verse goes, “Hell’s not scared of a Sunday faith if it only leads to empty praise. What really makes darkness run is when the saints arise and praise in quiet.” I experienced many years of living with a “Sunday Faith”; worshiping Jesus one day of the week and living for myself the rest. This type of relationship with Christ required me to idolize all other aspects of my life. Paul shares in Romans 1 that, “Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” My light shines the brightest when my relationship with Jesus is unwavering. My desire over the next months is to construct a solid “Monday Faith”; a relationship that never takes a day off.

Now I’m headed down south to spend two weeks of training with my team. Here I come, Georgia!

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. 1 Chronicles 16:23-25
